Allen R. Washington, BS, MSW
Allen R. Washington earned his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY at Old Westbury
in 1997.
He also earned his Masters of Social Work degree from Adelphi University in August of 2008.
While employed by the City of New York Mr. Washington worked as a 911 operator. It was during
this time that he first encountered the horror that is sexual assault. He received numerous calls
from the parents and loved ones of sexual assault victims and it brought to life the abuse he
suffered as an adolescent at the hands of a trusted adult. These events served as the foundation
for his entrance in to the field of Sexual Offender treatment. With a powerful vision Mr. Washington
went on to co-
Seed Forensic Licensed Clinical Social Work Services.
Mr. Washington has honed his skills through the completion of thousands of training and treatment
hours. He has been diligent in his efforts to improve as a treatment provider by reading the latest
literature on treatment modalities and he has been willing to share his insight with Probation and
Parole Officers he comes in contact with on a regular basis. His work with Mustard Seed has
taken him beyond the confines of 2625 Atlantic Ave where Mustard Seed Forensic conducts
operation. He now conducts on sight treatment at the Department of Probation Bronx and
Brooklyn offices.
Mr. Washington engages in his work with a passion rarely seen. His dedication to his clients is
recognized by all and readily translates to a heartfelt desire to see a change in their behavior.
Since its inception in January of 2000 Mr. Washington has been instrumental in the provision of
treatment to over 2000 offenders from the age of 12 through adulthood. Services are provided in

Mr. Washington is currently a member in good standing in the following organizations: The
Association of the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, The Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizen
Academy, Order of The Feather Fraternity and The National Association of Social Workers. In
2009 with the assistance of his business partner Mr. William C. Ford LCSW, Mustard Seed
Survivor Empowerment Foundation was founded. The foundation was created to compliment the
work being done by Mustard Seed Forensic Licensed Clinical Social Work Services. Having
experienced sexual abuse first hand Mr. Washington has long believed that in order for sexual
abuse to be addressed it must be done from both an offender as well as survivor perspective.
Therefore with the creation of Mustard Seed Survivor Empowerment Survivors, families and
communities impacted by sexual abuse can receive services and the education needed to inform
and protect loved ones from on going and future assaults.
Seasons may come and seasons go and even though it might change our mood we all learn how
to cope. But there is a season that never leaves and continues to grow stronger daily leaving a
devastating path. In reality the season is really a silent epidemic which has been plaguing our
community for years. If exposed to this epidemic it can change your mood and or your love one’s
forever. They try to change their mood but at times it becomes hard to shake. Only those that are
affected by it understand but those that are looking from the outside remain bewildered.
This epidemic of sex abuse affects 1 out of 3 females and 1 out of 4-
The consequences of sexual abuse have an immediate affect on individuals, families and
communities. Sexual abuse can permanently impact its victims and the effects can continue
throughout the life of the survivor as well as generations to follow. It is with this in mind that he
pursues his life long passion to preserve the innocence of the innocent. By providing intervention
for both the perpetrator as well as the survivor he continues to be a living example of Mustard Seed
Faith, although small it has the ability to move mountains!
